This course will be a comprehensive survey of World History, covering developments of societies, conflicts, and defining world events. It will follow the course of history from creation to the present day. This class will help inform the student of the historical context of the Bible and God’s creative and redemptive plans. Basic discussions of geography, historical characters, and customs (involving rulers, wars, and empires) will expand understanding of God’s involvement in the lives of people in a providential way. Students will enhance their appreciation of the lessons of the past in order to actively engage in meaningful contributions of their own.
