This class is for students who can play confidently in upper positions with good intonation and a mature tone. Students will be performing literature that is both challenging and fun. Private lessons are necessary at this level. Students in this ensemble are required to participate in KEYS Winter and Spring Concerts, community outreaches, and the MOST.

Recommendation by Mrs. Bryan or by audition. All instrumentalists must have excellent playing position, intonation, and a mature tone. Audition requirements: Violin: 2 octave E-flat Major and 3 octave G Major scales, a prepared piece from at least Suzuki Book 4 or equivalent, and sight-reading. Viola and Cello: 2 octave A Major and F Major scales, a prepared piece from at least Suzuki Book 3 or equivalent, and sight-reading. Bass: 2 octave A and F Major scales, a prepared piece from at least Suzuki Book 3 or equivalent, and sight-reading.
Parents are responsible for purchasing all textbooks and supplies before the first day of class.
KEYS will invoice supply fees at the time of registration and class selection. This fee covers materials, lab supplies, and other expenses incurred by the teacher. It is a one-time fee, transferable until August, but non-refundable.
Please note the grade level for this class. Students younger than the recommended grade levels need special permission before signing up for the class. Please contact the office for more information.
