Born and raised in Canada, Cara Busscher holds bachelor's degrees in Psychology from the University of Regina and in Education, specializing in MS Math and Science, from the University of Saskatchewan. Cara taught in a public school in Canada before a teacher exchange program brought her to Virginia in 2002. There, she met her husband, Chris, and made the USA her home. Cara taught in Newport News and a small Christian School in Chesapeake. When she was blessed with children, she decided to stay home to raise them. Cara has homeschooled since 2015, including tutoring at Classical Conversations for 5 years. Her family has enjoyed being at KEYS since 2022. In her free time, when not being an Uber driver for her three kids, Cara also donates her time as the treasurer for a local heart family support group called Mended Little Hearts. She also enjoys puzzles, going to the beach, and traveling. Cara feels blessed to be back in the classroom, sharing her love of science with the students.
