From a young age, Alison has been enthralled with the art of storytelling in all its forms. She earned a B.A. in English Literature, with honors, from Methodist University. She taught British and American Literature at a private Christian high school before beginning a graduate program in English Literature at ODU. After completing her first year, she put graduate school on hold to become a mother, which has been her greatest adventure by far. She has been homeschooling her four children for 12 years. She taught as a Classical Conversations tutor for three years, as well as helped at other homeschool enrichment programs. Alison has a heart for teens and a passion for literature, particularly exploring it through the lens of a biblical worldview. She also enjoys swimming at the beach, walking in nature, listening to live music, and supporting our local performing arts community.
