Amy Rickards received a B.S. in Communications with a specialization in Journalism and a minor in English from Liberty University and her M.A. in English, specializing in literature, from Virginia Commonwealth University. Amy has been teaching in the high school and collegiate classroom for the last twenty-one years. She currently teaches writing, literature, and humanities courses at Regent University and Liberty University. She and her husband have two children, ages fourteen and ten, and Amy has been home-educating them since 2020. Her husband is a writer and producer, so their lives are invested in using the written word to glorify God. They live in Chesapeake with their two dachshunds. When she isn’t grading papers or caring for her family, Amy loves settling down with a hot cup of coffee and a good book. She loves discussing books, and it is her great joy that her life’s work is to help her students grow in their walk with God through the study of literature and language.
